Artist Statement:

I make art that addresses stereotypes and taboos about woman's bodies.
Often cliché's are used to neutralize its meaning. I parallel human and animal
physical instincts with Pavlovian behavior. I use myself, menstruation blood
and domestic materials to engage in a dialogue with other artist in the
history of Women's work.

Menstruation blood is very powerful and vital. Each blood painting is charged
with energy. It also documents time and celebrated fertility.

Sewing different materials together creates another. A dichotomy is set up
between nature (clay, blood, flowers, fur) and non-organic matter (polyester).
